Description/Comment: Installs new software releases and system upgrades, evaluates and installs patches, and resolves software related problems. Performs system backups and recovery. Maintains data files and monitors system configuration to ensure data integrity. Technologies supported include operating systems, servers, networks, system security, hardware and other software applications. Troubleshoots system issues and resolves or escalates. Creates and updates system documentation, including configurations and backup procedures.
Start Time: 12:00 AM
Hours: 8:00am to 5:00pm
Additional Job Details: Support all production and non-production servers across the Home Depot enterprise. A strong background in troubleshooting and diagnosing remote systems, combined with the ability to execute and automate day to day operational requests are the keys to success in this position. Knowledge of Windows Server, related technologies (Clustering/IIS), VMWare, and enterprise backup and storage solutions are essential.

A bachelor' s degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering or related field is preferred
5+ years troubleshooting and resolving complex system issues. You can fix anything!
5+ years managing systems with PowerShell (other scripting languages are a plus)
5+ years administration and troubleshooting Windows Server (2008/2012).
3+ years of experience with systems management tools like SCOM, Solarwinds, or comparable systems.
Working knowledge of VMWare in particular, and virtualization technology in general.
Working knowledge of enterprise storage solutions (Fiber, iSCSI, MPIO).
Working knowledge of common network infrastructure and protocols.
Soft Skills Needed
Self-starter with a strong drive to get things done.
Effective communications - verbal, written and presentation skills.
Ability to convey concepts and ideas in a concise effective manner.
Comfortable interacting at all levels (peer and leadership) of the organization.
Ability to organize and document information to support the environment.
