We are looking for an experienced Systems Administrator to join our technology team, providing critical support across our corporate and remote facilities. In this role, you will be responsible for managing, troubleshooting, and enhancing our technology infrastructure, with a particular focus on the Microsoft 365 and Azure environments, as well as leading the development and management of our cybersecurity program. This position is essential to ensuring a secure, stable, and reliable technology environment that enables seamless operations across the organization.

Position Summary:
The Systems Administrator is responsible for overseeing and supporting the organization’s IT infrastructure, including end-user systems, Microsoft 365, Azure cloud infrastructure, basic network administration, and cybersecurity initiatives. This role includes managing Tier 1 and Tier 2 service requests, creating standard operating procedures, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. The Systems Administrator will be a key contributor to our cybersecurity program, implementing security best practices, monitoring system security, and educating users on secure practices.
The Systems Administrator will work closely with internal teams and external vendors to maintain essential systems and tools. The ideal candidate will have experience in Microsoft 365, Azure, networking, and helpdesk functions, as well as the ability to build and manage a cybersecurity program to address organizational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and monitor the day-to-day operations of corporate and facility IT environments, addressing helpdesk requests (including ticket queue monitoring, troubleshooting, and issue resolution).
- Administer and support Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive) to maximize productivity and data security.
- Manage and optimize Azure infrastructure, including virtual machines, storage, Azure Active Directory, and related services.
- Develop, implement, and maintain a cybersecurity program that includes policies, procedures, and protocols for protecting the organization’s information assets.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, monitor system security, and respond to cybersecurity incidents.
- Perform hardware and software setup, configuration, and troubleshooting for end-user devices, such as PCs, laptops, mobile devices, and printers.
- Conduct preventative maintenance and handle repairs on various technology, including advanced systems like network and telecommunications equipment.
- Support and maintain basic networking infrastructure (routers, switches, access points), and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
- Track and manage IT assets, overseeing inventory across corporate and managed locations.
- Collaborate with Facilities, Operations, and support teams to document technical and security requirements.
- Support the deployment and maintenance of both existing and new technology systems at corporate and remote facility sites.
- Educate and train end-users on cybersecurity practices, including phishing awareness, secure password management, and data protection.
Required Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in systems administration or a related technical support role
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 administration (including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive)
- Experience managing Azure infrastructure, including Azure Active Directory, virtual machines, storage solutions, and cloud network configurations
- Proven experience developing and managing a cybersecurity program, including policies, procedures, and incident response
- Basic networking knowledge, including IP addressing, subnetting, DNS, DHCP, and VPN setup
- Helpdesk experience handling support requests and managing service level agreements through ticketing systems
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills to support end-users effectively
- Experience with remote support tools and a variety of hardware (PCs, mobile devices, printers, network equipment)
- Proficiency with Windows OS, Office Suite, and general productivity applications
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, CompTIA Security+, or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
- Familiarity with endpoint security solutions, firewall management, and data encryption
- Experience with low voltage cabling, network architecture and access control systems
