Come join our team as an TGIS System Administrator on the UNITED STATES TRANSPORTATION COMMAND MILITARY SURFACE DEPLOYMENT AND DISTRIBUTION COMMAND Transportation Geospatial Information System (TGIS) Contract!
This position requires a minimum of 2 day a week on-site support, on Wednesday and Thursday, at Scott AFB and an Active Secret clearance. Remote work is authorized on days when on-site support is not required.
Duties & Responsibilities:- Monitor performance for production application, database, and web servers
- Operate, sustain, and harden Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Windows servers
- Support TGIS applications hosted in multiple unclassified AWS environments
- Support TGIS applications hosted on SIPRNet
- Complete Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) on TGIS operating systems
- Perform system configuration beyond organizational baselines
- Track and report database, application, and web server performance issues
- Complete security and accreditation requirements in all TGIS environments
- Propose software, interface, and technical changes to the Configuration Manager
- Calculate the effects of implementing changes in the TGIS environments.
- Respond to service outages and other problems
- Complete operation and maintenance tasks such as:
- Install system upgrades
- Manage system resources
- Optimize system performance
- Perform system startup, shutdown, and diagnostics
- Configure, test, and maintain operating systems and system management tools
- Bachelor’s degree and 5 years' experience in related field
- Active Secret clearance
- DOD 8570-01M certification: IAT Level II or higher (e.g., Security+ CE)
- Self-starter with strong communication skills that thrives in a hybrid work environment
