Systems Administrator - Senior (TS/SCI) - Akima

About the Job
Our successful candidate will perform all Systems Administrator - Senior duties providing direct support to enterprise networked systems and managing Microsoft server infrastructure solutions across multiple solution areas in a DoD enterprise environment.
Responsibilities
+ Install and maintain servers, workstations, desktops, laptops, and basic cabling, etc.
+ Maintain systems architecture across multiple networks and locations.
+ Install, administer, and maintain virtual and physical hosts.
+ Administer Active Directory users and devices.
+ Integrate new technologies into new and existing systems.
+ Transition and migration of enterprise systems.
+ Determine isolation and resolution of complex hardware and software problems.
+ Perform account maintenance, data integrity, and file system security.
+ Utilize manual checks, GUI-based, and command line tools (PowerShell) to troubleshoot and remediate basic to complex systems hardware, software, and configuration issues.
+ Basic network troubleshooting in support of the datacenter and workstation/LAN connectivity.
+ Collect, review, and store server log files to identify and remediate system issues.
+ Document system configurations and propose and/or implement system changes.
+ Apply security patches, IAVAs, STIGS, and updates (including operating system updates).
+ Assist Service Desk technicians as needed with Tier I and Tier II troubleshooting.
+ Patching of desktop systems, software, printer issues, and server related issues as needed.
+ Participate in or lead special projects and day-to-day operations as assigned by the site lead.
+ Clearly communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel.
+ Mentor, lead, and train junior technicians as directed.
Qualifications
+ High School diploma/GED.
+ Active DOD TS/SCI (as recorded in DISS).
+ Currently possess DoD 8570.1-M IAT Level II.
+ Currently possess a Computing Environment certification or must be obtained within 90 days of start date.
+ Ability to frequently lift, carry, and move equipment (up to 25 lbs.).
+ Knowledge of ITIL v3 processes.
Desired Qualifications:
+ ITIL v3 (or greater) certification.
+ MCSA or MCSE Windows 10 (or greater) certification.
+ Experience working in an IT service desk environment.
+ Experience working with enterprise-level IT devices HBSS, or ACAS.
+ Experience working with IT Service Management ticketing software SCSM, ServiceNow.
+ Ability to complete difficult and complex assignments independently.
+ Ability to provide over the phone troubleshooting instructions to customers.
+ Must have a valid driver’s license; supports several locations on Fort Belvoir.
