Systems Administrator - Upwork

Upwork has partnered with one of its Enterprise level clients, a leading distributor of commercial doors, frames & hardware, electronic access control equipment and specialty (Division 10) products, is looking for two Systems administrators with extensive experience in Microsoft Azure, Windows environments, and IT security principles. 

As a Systems Administrator, you will:

1. Install, configure, and manage software and hardware across various technologies.
2. Manage network servers and technology tools, including routers, firewalls, and switches.
3. Set up accounts and workstations, and handle escalated service desk requests.
4. Monitor performance, manage system capacity, and ensure system and data security.
5. Participate in IT projects, from initiation to execution, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
6. Document technical procedures, configurations, and maintenance plans.
7. Conduct regular maintenance tasks and assist in lifecycle management of IT systems and services.

To be successful in this role, you need:

1. Experience with Microsoft Azure products and Azure Virtual Desktop services.
2. Demonstrated knowledge in managing:
       - MS 365 products like Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Intune.
       - Networking principles including WAN/LAN, TCP/IP, VPN, and SDWAN.
       - Windows Server 2012R2 and above, and Windows 10 and 11 Professional.
       - Microsoft Active Directory, GPOs, DNS, and endpoint security solutions.
       - Scripting and automation, VMware, Cisco UCX, and Pure storage platforms.
3. Strong foundation in IT security principles and excellent troubleshooting skills.
4. Ability to work collaboratively, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and provide exceptional service.
