About the Job
L.J. Gonzer Associates is looking for individuals to join our pool of qualified candidates for potential assignment as a Systems Architect. The Systems Architect will work with staff for the purpose of analyzing, developing, and testing for all aspects of the client's data migration modernization initiative. This is a multi-phase, multi-year program, which includes multi phases of modernization projects. Specific tasks will include:
- Analyzing and designing functional specifications which adhere to IT standards and policies.
- Migrating data to appropriate repositories.
- Participating in requirement gathering and design discussions.
- Verbally communicating with senior IT SMEs to elicit requirements.
- Developing ETL processes for the migration of legacy data.
- Working in a team environment, as well as independently.
- Complying with data standards and policies.
- Learning new technologies and methodologies.
- Assisting with Quality Assurance testing.
- Creating Data Mapping Documents from Source to Target.
- 5 years of experience with ETL (data migration) using Data Stage (IBM Infosphere).
- 5 years of testing experience, including: data validation, creating comprehensive test plans, executing test plans, and reconciliation of data migrations.
- 5 years of experience creating clear, concise technical documentation which includes professional detailed design specifications.
