Sparks Group seeks a Systems and Data Specialist to join the team of a large, well-known government contractor in Norfolk, VA. As a Systems and Data Specialist supporting the Workforce Administration team, you will play a crucial role in the administration of complex HR transactions and data management. Your responsibilities will include processing lifecycle transactions, managing data changes, and ensuring accurate records in support of HR and HRIS functions. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can navigate complex systems while maintaining the confidentiality and integrity of sensitive information.
Responsibilities:
Sparks Group seeks a Systems and Data Specialist to join the team of a large, well-known government contractor in Norfolk, VA. As a Systems and Data Specialist supporting the Workforce Administration team, you will play a crucial role in the administration of complex HR transactions and data management. Your responsibilities will include processing lifecycle transactions, managing data changes, and ensuring accurate records in support of HR and HRIS functions. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can navigate complex systems while maintaining the confidentiality and integrity of sensitive information.
Responsibilities:
- Administer complex HR transactions, including manual hires, job changes, severance processing, and calculations.
- Manage individual data changes, retroactive adjustments, corrections, rescinding transactions, and manual updates.
- Oversee mass data updates related to organizational changes, job changes, contingent workers, and requisitions.
- Process terminations in Workday, conduct exit interviews and manage processing documents for involuntary and voluntary terminations.
- Maintain and audit personnel files to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Develop and maintain end-user training and documentation materials for Workday.
- Complete disciplinary actions within the HR system.
- Ensure confidentiality of sensitive information and comply with data privacy requirements while handling transactions and employee inquiries.
Qualifications/Background Profile:
- 2+ years of experience in customer service within HR administration, transactional data management, and reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). - Experience with pivot tables and V-lookups in ExcelÂ
- Strong ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience in a Help Desk or Contact Center environment with reporting capabilities.
- Familiarity with Workday and its functionalities.
- Attention to detail in data and process management to ensure data integrity.
