Experienced Desktop Engineer
5 years of hardware engineering experience
Possess strong windows systems level experience
Strong technical skills in desktop configuration, hardware troubleshooting, and software deployment
Experience with MECM, ServiceNow, and Rally
DUTIES:
Conduct benchmark testing, performance analysis, and driver research on laptops and desktops
Manage BIOS configuration files, documentation, and pinout documentation
Test and deploy drivers, BIOS updates, and software deployments via MECM
Ensure security compliance and manage Bitlocker encryption and decryption services
Collaborate with Security to implement security protocols and conduct market research
Liaise with manufacturers for hardware and software concerns and solutions
Manage asset tracking via ServiceNow and track project progress via Rally
Perform hardware troubleshooting (Tier 4), user support, and technical write-ups
Create and manage images using Clonezilla and implement PTO Baseline Imaging
Deploy WIN 10 LTSC OEM images and manage OS Recovery Imaging
Conduct new hardware testing, research, and analysis
Verify hardware peripheral compatibility and manage specification sheets
Ensure older hardware updates and compatibility with new drivers and software
Assist Executive Support with special requests and create security-compliant machines
Collaborate with software development and packaging teams for streamlined deployment
Track deployments, analyze failure trends, and implement preventative maintenance
Manage SharePoint files and documents for field technicians and Advanced Problem Resolution teams
Conduct Dell part replacements and installations
Gather requirements for hardware analysis and testing
Participate in weekly and monthly meetings to communicate potential issues and make recommendations
