Job Title: Computer Engineer
Location: This role is Hybrid, requiring a minimum of 1 day onsite in Huntsville, AL
Must be a US Citizen capable of passing a stringent background check due consistent with government contractual obligations
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join an interdisciplinary team supporting missile hardware engineering. This role involves working on the entire lifecycle of missile systems, focusing on the development, integration, testing, production, and sustainment of missile hardware. The ideal candidate will have experience in systems engineering processes, hardware development, and a strong understanding of missile systems and defense technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Integrate into a cross-functional team and serve as a key contributor for missile hardware development, integration, testing, production, and sustainment activities.
- Provide technical expertise in specific missile hardware components, such as guidance systems, propulsion systems, avionics, and control systems.
- Interface with senior engineers to support technical reviews and updates to missile designs, addressing obsolescence issues or performance-driven upgrades as necessary.
- Offer technical guidance to the team regarding technologies used in missile hardware components, ensuring best practices are followed and solutions are optimized.
- Assist in the development, review, and validation of test plans, system requirements, and the evaluation of hardware performance in relation to design changes and system updates.
- Plan, define, evaluate, and monitor contract tasks involving missile hardware design, development, testing, and production to ensure successful project execution and system performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field. A Master's degree is a plus!
- 3+ years of experience in systems engineering, preferably in missile hardware development or a related defense industry.
- Strong understanding of missile systems and subsystems, especially structures and propulsion.
- Experience in systems integration, testing, and troubleshooting of complex hardware systems.
- Familiarity with systems engineering tools and methodologies (e.g., DOORS, SysML, MBSE).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to pass an extensive background investigation (U.S. citizenship required)

- Occasional travel may be required to support testing and integration activities at various locations.
- This Position is Hybrid, enabling remote work, but requiring a minimum of 1 day a week in office.
