The Job
Own is looking for a passionate, dedicated, and highly motivated Systems Engineer to join our amazing IT team.
This role is a critical member of the Own global Information Technology team. Reporting directly to the Infrastructure Manager, the Systems Engineer will be responsible for improving and maintaining an 800+ user environment alongside a Senior Systems Engineer.
Your Day-to-Day Role
- Architect, design, and propose solutions related to responsible systems such as Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, etc.
- Own and lead IT projects, including the design and deployment of new IT systems and services.
- Maximize system performance through monitoring, troubleshooting, and upgrades.
- Build automation as needed using scripting languages such as Okta Expression, PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
- Architect and update Okta workflows that support business processes.
- Improve and maintain account lifecycle automations for a large number of SaaS applications used internally.
- Administer and maintain an 900+ user Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, and O365 environment.
- Administer and maintain various SaaS applications used by employees globally.
- As required, provide hands-on end user support and account creation/management.
- Provide Tier 3 escalation support through the ticketing system.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior IT engineers and team members.
- Document processes, procedures, and technical playbooks.
- Participate in SOC reviews.
Your Work Experience
- Subject matter knowledge of Okta is a MUST, including complex Okta Workflows.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience managing Okta in medium to large organizations.
- A passion and a proven track record for implementing automation and improving work efficiency.
- You have experience and are comfortable integrating various APIs.
- You love automation and finding efficiencies in existing workflows or business processes.
- Salesforce, Azure/AWS experience is a plus.
- General understanding of networks is desirable.
- Working knowledge of other programming languages/scripting is a plus.
- Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment, highly desirable.
- Previous support of an organization with global offices, predominantly running Apple hardware and Saas only environments.
- Well-versed in MacOS, Google Workspace, Office 365, Atlassian, Okta, Zoom, etc.
- Jamf Pro knowledge is a plus.
- Ability to lead and manage multiple projects and adjust to shifting priorities as they change.
- Firm grasp on IT infrastructure and operational best practices.
- Intense focus on quality and on-time delivery.
- Project management skills that ensure meeting of all deadlines.

Important Details
This is a full-time position. The ideal candidate will work out of our Englewood Cliffs, NJ office a minimum of 4 days per week to maximize collaboration and interaction with the business.
