Systems Engineer III
Salary range: $125k - $155K
o Complexity of Task Assignment - Works on highly complex project systems requiring innovative, original solutions. Exposure to development lifecycle from concept to completion for development programs.
o Planning – Technical planning, estimates, tracks & completes project on time and within budget.
o Scope/lmpact - Results are key to successful completion of projects/pro rams.
o Lead/Oversight Responsibilities - Teach and train younger technical staff.
o Supervision - Works mostly independently with minimal supervision.
o Guidance - Provides guidance to team.
o Initiative - Exercises initiative/judgment in work methods and in interpreting goals.
o Technical Writing - Take on substantial proposal writing sections and design review data packages.
o Is a SME for an area/system and has a detailed understanding of how multiple systems interact within the area.
o Familiar with and understands space industry standards required
o Familiar with and understands mil/aero industry standards is a plus
o Develops innovative solutions to unique problems.
o Technical accomplishments are recognized at design reviews and within the site in the area of expertise.
o Craft effective technical path to capture significant follow-on business.
o Effectively train/mentor his/her work group and effectively lead work teams within the work group.
o Give effective presentations to general audiences and writes convincing proposals/reports with all necessary backup material.
o Resolve divergent technical opinions within team and customer.
Independent execution of system requirements management, system architecture, gate reviews, V&V, launch, and flight operations, or modelling of mission engineering of complicated systems, complicated Component Engineering initiatives, or complicated Configuration Management architecture. Leads system failure root cause corrective action investigations, technical influence over company direction and customer.
