Systems Engineer III - PA - Predicate Logic Inc.

Predicate Logic is looking for a motivated Systems Engineer III to join our team in Philadelphia, PA.

SECURITY CLEARANCE:

• Applicant must be eligible for a Department of Defense (DoD) personnel security clearance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for the planning, design, evaluation, and troubleshooting of mission-critical, multi-level secure, Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) systems.
• Implement secure protocol suites and configure communication media with in-line encryption devices, concentrators, and various serial devices.
• Conduct research to solve complex problems and provide input for future modernization efforts.
• Resolve difficult interoperability problems between integrated communications stations and production networks.
• May work in a lab environment to test system designs and provide test report feedback.
• Participate in Engineering reviews as required.
• Provide technical representation at meetings with senior staff as required in support of designated Operating Authority systems.
• Ability to configure CISCO routers and switches locally and remotely.
• In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP protocols.
• Knowledge and experience with IP Multicast - Emphasis on WAN environments.
• Ability to establish local and global DNS.
• In-depth knowledge of network architectures and associated equipment including, but not limited to zones, screening devices, and typical design.
• Working knowledge of various routing protocols.
• Operational experience with email delivery, specifically including POP3, SMTP and IMAP.
• Familiarity with direct attached and network-attached storage devices, protocols, and techniques to include iSCSI.

EXPERIENCE:

• Seven (7) years of professional experience.
• Five (5) years of relevant experience in Systems Engineering, design integrating systems associated with US Navy HM&E Submarine Communication and Electromagnetic Systems.

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering discipline.
• Must be Cyber Security Work Force (CSWF) certified for Information Assurance Technician Level II (IAT-II). This requires one of the following certifications: CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security + CE, CND or SSCP. Must have one of these certifications at time of hire and it must remain active.
