At Puma, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Systems Engineer to join our team. As a Systems Engineer – Level 1 you will work in a client-facing role to design, implement, troubleshoot, and maintain the critical IT infrastructure that our clients rely on. You will address complexities with PCs, Macs, and desktop applications to optimize the performance of antivirus software, Windows servers, smartphones, printers, and network infrastructure.
You will lead the charge in designing and implementing robust, scalable systems that will be critical to a client's environment. This role will a drive to partner in business growth, enhance operational efficiency, and adapt to dynamic healthcare market demands. This position is full-time, onsite in Richmond Hill, GA.
Role Responsibilities:
- Provision, deploy, configure, and optimize workstations and Wi-Fi for seamless integration into production environments
- Apply strong communication skills to deliver end-user support via phone calls and on-site interactions
- Diagnose and resolve operating system, hardware, driver, and performance challenges across all workstations
- Identify and resolve network challenges while demonstrating expertise in networking principles such as DNS and DHCP
- Maintain and troubleshoot Next-Generation Antivirus (NGAV) and Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) solutions, while also addressing endpoint threats and managing basic security alerts
- Deployment and maintenance of remote access solutions including VPN, terminal services, and Windows Virtual Desktop
- Administration of Network File Systems including usage monitoring, and proactive alert management
- Ability to communicate security standards to the client and enforce adherence to best practices
- Collaborate with the engineering team to devise, execute, and maintain network and hardware enhancements.
- Engage in project scope evaluations and uphold timely completion of project tasks
Role Requirements:
- · 1+ years of experience in a medical/healthcare setting
- Prior working experience in MSP or in service department
- Prior knowledge of Athena and how it functions
- Prior knowledge of Microsoft 365
- Highly detailed with exceptional documentation abilities
- Team player, values collaboration and feedback from engineering team
- Problem solver, ability to think creatively and critically and thrive in a fast-paced, and dynamic work environments
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience with workstations, hosted/cloud apps, and file systems
- Basic PBX/Phone system knowledge to create new users, assign extensions, reset pins
- Ability to travel to end client locations within a 30-mile radius of HQ
- Self-starter, goal driven, and consistent
- Great communication skills, capable of explaining issues and resolutions to end users
