We are looking for an experienced and technically competent Systems Engineer to help manage engineering projects spanning a variety of security levels for a government program office.
Description:- Identify required resources, schedule dependencies, and contracting actions needed to support the overarching systems engineering efforts and interfaces with Program Management and related technologies, to include oversight of multiple contributing government and OEM partners.
- Utilize knowledge and experience of Naval Air Systems Command programmatic, research, development, test and evaluation processes and procedures, with an emphasis on integrating novel new survivability technologies on existing weapons platforms.
- Act as the staff Systems Engineering Subject Matter Expert (SME) in support of problem definition, systems engineering plan development, test and evaluation, and modeling and simulation oversight.
Education Requirements: Bachelors degree in engineering, physics, mathematics, computer science or related field in line with above functional description.
Preferred Experience:
- Ten (I 0) years of experience in Systems Engineering, including participation in, or support for, SETR events and Technical Review Boards
- Experience in engineering activities, including systems engineering, test and evaluation, and modeling and simulation
- Experience in senior management and technical positions for major ACAT programs and advanced technologies
- Experience supporting DoD Acquisition Programs
- Experience in Test and Evaluation of DoD weapons systems, including design and operation of M&S solutions
- Experience with Naval Air Systems Command engineering, and test and evaluation activities
- Experience in highly classified environments
- Experience in Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
- Proficiency with Microsoft office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project
- The Senior Systems Engineer must possess the ability to rapidly understand new concepts (across technical domains), apply them accurately in an evolving and complex environment, and effectively organize, schedule and coordinate systems engineering work phases and tasks to support effective integration in a highly classified environment.
- Experience in complex multidisciplinary environments is required, as are excellent oral and written communication, computer, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
