About the Job
We have an immediate opening for a Command & Control (C2) Systems Engineer who will support the Army Program Executive Office Missiles and Space (PEO MS) in Huntsville, AL. Salary for this position will depend on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Support the MRCPO in designing, developing, and modernizing the Battery Operation Center (BOC) for the Army's Mid-Range Missile capability. Key duties include managing technical requirements, integrating systems like TTWCS, AWS, AFATDS, and JADOCS, and assisting in risk management to deliver a prototype battery with combat capability in line with DoD priorities.
- Provide systems engineering & integration for hardware and software development for missile system power and C2 capability
- Provide systems engineering and integration analytical support on new major defense system development program
- Review and define system requirements
- Review and evaluate system technical specifications, designs, analyses, test plans/procedures, and technical data packages
- Interface with other government organizations and development contractors to facilitate preliminary concept exploration and candidate system design
- Develop and present briefings, analysis, and reports to industry, internal/external government organizations, and senior/executive leadership within DoD and the Federal Government.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with at least 10 years of experience in weapon systems engineering, including 5 years in systems engineering for major defense acquisition programs.
- Demonstrated expertise in systems engineering, missile system fire direction, power systems development, and conducting System Requirements Design Reviews, including work with TTWCS, Aegis, AFATDS, and JADOCS.
- Proficiency in MS Office, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a high-paced environment.
- Active Secret Clearance, with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance within 12 months, and willingness to work on-site.
- Experience with kill-chain management and in-the-loop encryption/decryption.
Additional Desired Experience:
- Master's Degree in Engineering and active TS/SCI clearance.
- Experience with DoD internet terminal systems (e.g., Starlink, SIPR/NIPR Access Point).
- Knowledge of system interface requirements, requirements management, and experience preparing documentation and conducting reviews
