Make a difference as a Systems Engineer - Senior Level
As a Senior Systems Engineer at Mission Intelligence Group, you will play a pivotal role in guiding and mentoring mid-level and junior engineers as they navigate the complexities of requirements engineering and solutions development. This position demands a multi-discipline approach to ensuring the integrity and reliability of systems across the National System of Geospatial-intelligence (NSG), Allied System of Geospatial-intelligence (ASG), and various Federal Agencies. Your expertise will contribute to timely and accurate GEOINT by overseeing the planning, analysis, and traceability of user requirements, as well as conducting analyses of alternatives and engineering assessments.
You will assist the Government in translating mission and customer needs into actionable systems solutions while supporting strategic technical planning and project management. Proficiency in Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Agile methodologies is essential, as you will operate at the intersection of multiple systems and processes in a collaborative environment.

Required Skills and Experience:
- Active TS/SCI clearance.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Systems Engineering or in a related technical or scientific fields
such as Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering Management,
Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM
degree program, or related equivalent additional experience. - Senior-level or higher experience working in government or industry in relevant work areas
including: DoD/IC Acquisition Process, Requirements Process, PPBES Process or systems
engineering of large complex System of Systems or Service Oriented Architecture environments
residing in cloud, on premise, or hybrid infrastructures. - Experience with and understanding of systems engineering lifecycle.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Master's degree in Systems Engineering or in a related technical or scientific fields such as
Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering Management, Computer
Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree
program. - Working knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering, processes, tools and languages, Digital Engineering, processes and tools, Software Development Frameworks.
- INCOSE Certified Systems engineering Professional (CSEP) certification.
- Documented work experience in the field of geospatial intelligence.
- Licensure as a professional engineer.
- Membership or leadership participation in any of the following professional organizations:
- ACSM
- ASCE
- ASPRS
- OGC
- SAREM
- USGIF
- Demonstrated expertise in photogrammetry, remote sensing, image science, information sciences,
geographic information systems, geomatics, or related fields - Demonstrated knowledge of the current NSG/ASG and NRO enterprises.
- Previous NGA and/or NSG/ASG program/project work experience.
- Previous IC or DoD program/project work experience.
- Experience or sound understanding of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Digital Engineering tools such as Jira, Confluence and DOORS Next Gen (DNG).
- Working knowledge of the Agile Software Development Framework.
