About the Job
We are seeking a talented Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team at the Program Management Office – Ground Combat Systems. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the development and integration of cutting-edge thermal and optical sensors. Your expertise will be instrumental in incorporating additional laser technologies, laser protection, and color camera systems.
Essential Job Functions:
Lead the integration of advanced sensor technologies into complex combat vehicle systems.
Author detailed requirements using DOORS, ensuring alignment with program objectives.
Provide expert technical advice to program management staff and supporting agencies to address critical risk issues.
Support proposal development and government negotiations, translating technical requirements into clear and concise documentation. Focus areas: NBC, EMI, environmental, shock and vibration.
Contribute to the development of overall technical policy for the customer and disseminate information to relevant organizations.
Work closely with engineers from various disciplines, including optics, sensors, mechanics, and electronics.
Required Skills:
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S Citizenship is required.
Must be able to obtain/maintain a Secret DoD Clearance.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Robotics Engineering.
Minimum of 5 years of experience working with sights or sensors.
Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering principles, as well as a comprehensive knowledge of combat vehicle systems.
Ability to analyze complex technical problems and develop innovative solutions.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
Meticulous attention to detail to ensure high-quality work.
