System Engineer:
As an Experienced System Engineer on this program your responsibilities will include the following:
The Systems Engineer will help ensure all facets to realize the value stream is accomplished, including software, hardware, firmware, and others needed to define, implement, test, deploy, release, and operate solutions.
- Coordinates and performs problem analysis, requirements analysis, design, modification, and adaption of system integration within and across multiple contracts.
- Leads integration and synchronization of capabilities across internal and external NGA operations, dependencies, and services.
- Coordinates and performs capability demonstrations and approval boards leading to coherent deployment of services to operational environments.
- Helps direct and manage resources responsible for the resolution of discrepancies and other required maintenance activities.
- Tracks IPA critical DRs and provides daily status to IPA leadership team; coordinates with IPA tier 2 and tier 3 support to ensure timely resolution of DRs
- Tracks all IPA major deliveries to ensure proper coordination with outage boards and customers. Oversees execution of TAP and return to operations following scheduled outages
- Works with the IPA Mission Owner and Product Owners to access and discover NSG GEOINT knowledge, across all stages of the analytic lifecycle and offer innovative ideas for addressing mission challenges, across multiple instances of an application/solution per security domain (U, S/C, TS/SCI).
- Works with Product Owners/Feature Support Engineers to organize, orchestrate and oversee meetings and manage the JIRA review/approval boards for each RTM development cycle including Sprints and Program Increments. These boards will be required for preparing and orchestrating features for future execution. The AMT shall help ensure standardized use of boards, sprints, JIRA and confluence across all RTM teams.
- Ensures that the RTM teams operate on a set of common principles: a fixed schedule, an increment every two weeks, a common Program Increment (PI) length, a known velocity using SAFe Core Values, face-to-face PI planning, a demonstrated capability at the end of each development segment, a well understood and consistent cadence and monitoring of all testing schedules.
- Works at the Management Team level and provides guidance, direction and support to the Release Management Team.
Education and Experience Requirement
- Bachelor’s degree plus ten years of experience, or Masters plus five years of experience in government Program and Information Technology Management or a related field.
- Experience in leading team-tasks for modifying complex applications programs from specifications and Discrepancy Reports.
- Experience drafting detailed application program coding specifications.
- Experience working on all phases of applications programming activities, independent of supervisory guidance.
- Demonstrated experience and thorough understanding of the NSG Tasking, Processing, Exploitation and Dissemination (TPED) mission and the systems that enable that mission.
