An Elyria Area Manufacturing Company is seeking a Systems Engineering Manager. The Systems Engineering Manger will manage a group of engineers (project & electrical) and the maintenance department. A background in metal stamping is ideal.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering OR 12 year's related experience
- Must have 10 years minimum experience in manufacturing engineering.
- Experience with estimating projects.
- Experience with GD&T.
- Knowledge/Understanding with Machining Fundamentals
- Knowledge/Understanding of Manufacturing processes related to the stamping industry & spinning processes.
- Must have good math skills.
- Knowledge/Understanding of Metallurgy processes.
- Must be able to read and understand Hydraulic Schematics
- Must have good Project management skills.
- Must have good organizational Skills.
- Risk Management Tools
- Must have good problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of welding fundamentals.
- Review project proposals, plans or prints to determine time frame, funding limitations, budgets are maintained, procedures for accomplishing projects, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of projects.
- Establishes work plan and staffing for each project throughout various phases of each. Arranges for recruitment or assignment of project personnel.
- Conducts weekly departmental meetings to communicate work plan and staffing of project phases and assignment of project personnel.
- Review status reports prepared by project personnel and modified schedules as required.
- Review technical problems and procedures and recommend solutions or changes to procedures.
- Confers with President / CEO and other administrative personnel to review achievements and discuss required changes in goals or objectives.
- Attends and participates in industry sponsored conventions and workshops or other speaking engagements as directed by supervisor.
- Develops and maintains systems engineering documents and training—operation and service manuals.
- Oversee APQP process to ensure proper conformance.
