Role Description:
The Systems Integration and Migration Lead will be responsible for all technical deliverables related to solutioning, designing/planning, and executing migrations to the cloud and on-premise data center environments (AWS and/or VMware SDDC) to support the Client. Provides overall design/engineering direction and support for migration to ensure the program meets the contractual obligations and operational standards, as well as the client's business imperatives.
Required Skills: Leads the migration of USCB applications and services, to include:
· ITIL v3 Foundations Certification
· Deep knowledge of ITIL Incident Management, Problem Management, Request Fulfillment, Change Management and IT Service Desk processes and functions.
· ITIL Intermediate or Expert Capability Certificate in IT Operations preferred.
· Understanding of development life cycles.
· Documented interest in process management and continuous improvement.
· Passionate in developing and implementing best practices, creative solutions to workflow issues impacting the services and the business.
· Business Applications: ServiceNow administration experience, and familiarity with Rally
· Office Automation: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint
· Planning & Design: Microsoft Project, Visio, Primavera
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Strong presentation abilities.
· Sound internal consulting skills and executive presence.

Role Description:
The Systems Integration and Migration Lead will be responsible for all technical deliverables related to solutioning, designing/planning, and executing migrations to the cloud and on-premise data center environments (AWS and/or VMware SDDC) to support the Client. Provides overall design/engineering direction and support for migration to ensure the program meets the contractual obligations and operational standards, as well as the client's business imperatives.
Required Skills: Leads the migration of USCB applications and services, to include:
- Supporting the development and elaboration of technical requirements for migration.
- Performing a test build-out of the target cloud environment, supporting infrastructure, software, tools, and network.
- Verifying that transition/target environments are properly configured and setup, as defined in the Specific Migration Plan (i.e. perform validation).
- Developing the migration runbook(s) and define resource assignments.
- Establishing the client Cloud and On-Premise operating environments and infrastructure (e.g., services, systems, applications, hardware, and facilities) required to support migrations.
- Conducting mock move simulations prior to executing the migration plan(s), including executing the move plan, scripts, and process execution to verify that the technical
- Performing the build-out of the target virtual environment, supporting infrastructure, software, tools, and network required for the migration of applications and associated data.
- Obtain all data (legacy and production) contained at USCB originating source locations and migrating it to the new target environment.
- Migrating USCB applications in multiple move packages in accordance with the approved, 2020 Census Migration Plan.
- Monitoring and tracking migration testing, including integration testing in the USCB environment with all partners, application support contractors, and their locations as appropriate for each migration effort.
- Report on migration progress, upcoming milestones, key activities, progress, changes, risks and issues.
- Provide post-migration services such as updating application documentation, transferring knowledge and support responsibilities to operations, optimizing service management,
- Providing weekly migration status updates on progress, risks and issues through Infrastructure Associate Chief Engineer to the Government Program Office.
- Candidate must possess a deep understanding of AWS cloud capabilities and cloud service offerings, both IaaS and serverless, in order to recommend proper migration strategy
- A minimum of 12 years of relevant work experience
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or equivalent
- Able to pass a background check to obtain a Public Trust (Low-Risk) Position
- Prior experience in planning and executing the migration of applications and data to cloud environments (AWS and/or Azure)
- Deep understanding of AWS and/or Azure cloud capabilities and cloud service offerings, both IaaS and serverless, in order to recommend proper migration strategy
- Deep knowledge of the ITIL methodology and the IT Service Desk processes and functions.
- Prior experience managing teams of at least 10 IT professionals.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
