Job Opening: Field Service Engineer (Automation & SCADA Systems)
A leading service provider in the automation and process control industry is seeking a talented Field Service Engineer to support clients with the installation, calibration, and repair of advanced equipment and control systems. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in PLC programming, SCADA systems, and mechanical troubleshooting. The role offers a mix of hands-on fieldwork and facility-based tasks, with travel up to 50%.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide mechanical repair and troubleshooting for a range of process equipment.
- Service and troubleshoot pump systems and chemical feed systems, including liquid and gas chlorine systems.
- Calibrate, install, and repair process instrumentation (pressure, flow, turbidity, pH, chlorine, temperature).
- Service and maintain control panels, radio telemetry systems, and control systems for well sites, booster pump stations, and lift stations.
- Support SCADA systems, both hardware and software, including PLC programming, remote access, and monitoring systems for water and wastewater treatment plants.
- Troubleshoot and maintain SCADA software to ensure reliable and efficient system performance.
Qualifications:
- Proven expertise in PLC programming, SCADA systems, and automated controls - Allen Bradley and Wonderware
- Strong mechanical skills with experience repairing and troubleshooting process equipment.
- Experience with control panels, radio telemetry systems, and various instrumentation systems.
- Ability to provide top-notch customer service and recommend technical solutions that improve operational efficiency. Working with municipalities preferred.
- Experience in water treatment or wastewater treatment plants is preferred.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% but you'll be home most evenings and weekends.
