Job Description: Responsibilities include design, architecture, implementation, security and support of large multi-site, multi-vendor network communication environments.
Major Accountabilities:
" Manage network projects.
" Develop detailed requirements for upgrading existing corporate and Finance Company networks, as well as re-architecting network segments in order to facilitate new requirements, technologies and growth.
" Resolve network communications and operations problems impacting customer or backbone access and performance globally.
" Participate in telecommunications-related initiatives.
" Research and develop innovative solutions around unified network solutions.
" Support assigned regional projects, which include responsibility for planning; time and cost control; resource utilization and implementation.
" Support Vendor management.
" Provide strategic technical direction on highly complex network systems project or activities involving the selection and recommendation of design approach and systems software technology.
Education:
" Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Math, or Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
" Formal business or management training including Project Management, Strategic Planning, some finance experience and related curriculum. Knowledge / Experience:
" Five to eight years of overall IT experience in the following areas: - Networking, including LAN/WAN, Firewalls, wireless, Security and encryption technologies.
" Experience with TCP/IP protocol communications.
" Knowledge of Cisco s and Arista product portfolio.
" Firewall experience: Checkpoint as well as Palo Alto.
" Load Balancer experience: F5 or Citrix Netscaler.
" SASE experience: Prisma Access or Netscaler.
" Cloud experience: AWS or Azure.
" Advanced knowledge of Project Management methodology and best practices.
" Knowledge of Network diagnostics, BGP, SNMP, VPN, SSH, MPLS technologies. Skills/ Abilities:
" Strong verbal and written communications skills.
" Self starter with demonstrated listening skills.
