We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Systems & Testing Technician to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the entire project lifecycle, from supporting design engineering and defining equipment needs during the initial concept phase, to contributing hands-on building and troubleshooting on the production floor to bring the custom manufacturing project to fruition. As a Systems & Testing Technician, you will be an integral part of a collaborative environment, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of projects. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide onsite support from our partner production facility located within York, PA
- Regularly travel across USA and into Canada.
- Work on a variety of custom design projects which include items such as special purpose machinery, conveyors, platforms, material handling, and other systems used primarily in the food and pharma industries.
- Offer technical assistance to the design team, providing insights into the practical aspects of system implementation.
- Assess project feasibility and offer insights into the technical aspects of proposed solutions.
- Contribute practical expertise to enhance the feasibility and functionality of proposed solutions.
- Participate in project kick offs and design reviews, offering hands-on perspectives to optimize designs for efficiency and manufacturability.
- Assist with development and document testing plans that outline steps and procedures for evaluating product integration success.
- Ensures defect identification and reporting are tracked and propose solutions for smooth implementation in future.
- Collaborate with designers to bridge the gap between theoretical design and practical application.
- Provide real time hands-on support on the shop floor during the build phase of projects to ensure our Customer Satisfaction objectives are achieved.
- Troubleshoot technical issues, working closely with manufacturing teams to ensure adherence to design specifications.
- Implement improvements and modifications based on practical shop floor experience.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, project managers, and production staff.
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to implement improvements and address any discrepancies.
- Communicate effectively with team members to provide updates, share insights, and address any technical concerns.
- Always conduct oneself in a professional manner in alignment with Company values, including but not limited to language use, attire, and workmanship
- In accordance with Company policy and relevant employment legislation, overtime and work outside of regular hours, and being on call may be required at the discretion of the Company

Requirements
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- Technical certification the following related fields: Millwrighting or Fabrication
- Skilled TIG welder of stainless steel
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a custom manufacturing with stainless steel or automation environment
- Familiar with the assembly and installation of pneumatics, hydraulics, and electro-mechanical systems
- Minimum 5-7 years experience in sophisticated mechanical troubleshooting
- Basic knowledge of automation and control systems
- Ability to travel as needed in USA and Canada, with valid passport
- Experience working with material handling or sanitary equipment used in the food industry an asset
- Excellent effective communication and organizational skills
- Excellent collaborative teamworking skills. Ability to partner and trouble shoot with Engineering professionals and shop floor skilled trades people
