Job Highlights:
Our team of over 200 Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) manages 100,000+ cases annually at more than 150 anesthetizing locations across our medical campus and some UAB St. Vincentrsquo;s facilities. From cancer and transplantation to trauma and same-day surgery, our CRNAs work alongside world-renowned providers and a host of other dedicated team members to deliver on our mission of providing compassionate, high-quality care. As a leading academic medical center, UAB Medicine offers CRNAs the opportunity to challenge their skills across a full range of clinical specialties and experience a wide variety of cases, in both inpatient and outpatient settings. From cancer and transplantation to trauma and same-day surgery, plus diagnostic and complex interventional cardiac, radiologic, and GI procedures, our 140 CRNAs work on 50,000+ cases annually as a part of our interdisciplinary care teams to deliver the highest-quality care for our patients.

To provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical procedures and diagnostic tests or cardio-thoracic surgical procedures and cardiac catheterizations. To participate in clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students.
