About the Job
The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), Radiology Chair Office, is seeking a Clinical Research Data Coordinator III.
Responsible for advanced knowledge of clinical trial operations, multi-site operation and regulations, clinicaltrials.gov, consenting, source documenting, and protocol review. Efficient in research/clinical software: OnCore, IMPACT, multiple electronic data capture (EDC) websites, RedCAP, Box, Microsoft Office, and IRAP. Provide superior communication between all parties privy to the research project and navigate complicated situations with knowledge gained from previous coordination experience.
General Responsibilities
- To design, implement, and maintain clinical-based relational database management systems and tools.
- To develop methods for tracking and reporting data and monitors incoming and outgoing data to ensure data integrity and compliance with applicable regulatory agency standards.
- To perform a variety of statistical analyses and summarizes results.
- To manage clinical data warehouse systems and reporting to national data marts to ensure accuracy, security, and compliance.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Designs, implements, and maintains clinical-based relational database management systems and tools.
- Develops methods for tracking and reporting data and monitors incoming and outgoing data to ensure data integrity and compliance with applicable regulatory agency standards.
- Assist with participant specimen documentation, lab delivery, and shipping.
- Create SOP's for department/ study data procedures, tracking systems and process improvement.
- Assess and determines solutions for operational shortcomings of data procurement in design.
- Maintains study's compliance with institutional requirements.
- Serves as liaison with medical staff, University Departments, ancillary departments and/or satellite facilities.
- Serves as a mentor to junior staff.
- May train others in work responsibilities and provides constructive feedback.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Annual Salary Range:%2455,180 - %2465,000
Bachelor's degree in a related field and five (5) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement. Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC) or Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP) certification preferred.
Preferences
- Degree in information technology, administration, biology, or related field.
- Advanced knowledge in clinical trial operations, ability to navigate UAB clinical trial network through CCC approval process, radiation safety, knowledge of regulations required from UAB IRB and commercial IRBs, such as WCG and Advarra.
- Possess knowledge of other department processes and the ability to work alongside multidepartment collaborators in a team setting.
