OFFICE SERVICES SPECIALIST II

This position will serve as an administrative clerical support primary point of contact for ID central faculty. ID has long been and continues to be the #1 research-funded division in DOM but other programs have significantly grown over the last decade with multiple health system leaders as well as an increase in faculty that are not research focused.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Submit and monitor reimbursements for ID central faculty (annual renewals) as well as monthly invoices for central resources.
- Handle national conference travel, required approvals, and reimbursements for ID central faculty that will also include utilization of UAB P-card and reconciliation of related charges.
- Maintain calendars and schedule meetings for ID central facultyCoordinate coverage schedules with area leads of specialized ID services that could include telehealth, IDH, IC, etc.
- Coordinate general office needs for ID central clinical faculty such as computer repairs and orders, copier, supplies, and assist other central admin staff with special events.
- In coordination with the fellowship coordinator and director coordinate tasks related to ID Grand Round and Case Conference including submission of CMEs, speaker schedule coordination, meal orders, and other related activities.
- Performs routine duties of a clerical nature within well established parameters. Performs duties working from detailed guidelines on past practices but may be required to make decisions on prioritizing work.
- Duties may involve some clerical and administrative duties, data entry where interpretation or validation of data is required, accounts payable and simple bookkeeping.
- May draft routine correspondence and respond to routine inquiries for information. May research and compile information and maintain records on a database.
- Performs other clerical duties in support of specific departmental functions.
- Perform other duties as assigned

Education
- High School diploma or GED
- And two (2) years of related experience required.
