About the Job
The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) is seeking a PATIENT SERVICES COORDINATOR I to be responsible for coordinating and/or administering certain clinical and patient services and for performing administrative duties in support of physician staff and operations. Responsible for the conduct of patient scheduling. Coordinates outpatients scheduling and facilitates in-patient pre-certification and admitting processes as necessary. Serves as an advocate for the patient and patient family. Answers patient and patient family inquires verbally or in writing. Assists in revolving patient problems. Follows up with patients and patient families regarding post-treatment / post-operative status. May supervise clerical staff.
(Hourly Rate: %2415.00 - %2421.95)
Bachelor's degree in a related field required OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE.
