Position Summary:
The Clinic Coordinator is responsible for supervising 10 Patient Registration Receptionists in a busy primary care outpatient clinic that services patients through the continuum of life.Provides daily oversight to ensure patient satisfaction, timely registration and scheduling of patients, and appropriate patient volumes are scheduled.
Supervises daily clinic activities and work assignments. Assists in development and implementation of clinic policies and procedures. Monitors and maintains schedules, records, equipment and supply inventories. Assists with clinical procedures as required. Trains, certifies and assists staff and students in clinical procedures. Answers questions, evaluates employees and ensures procedures are performed according to established protocols. Oversees billing and collection activities. Processes routine financial transactions and resolves concerns related to patient accounts. Responds to the needs of all patients ages newborn through geriatric.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervises daily administrative activities and work assignments for Patient Registration Receptionists.
- Monitors and maintains schedules and records.
- Assists in planning and implementing educational activities.
- Answers employees' questions, trains, evaluates employees, and ensures accurate completion of assigned tasks.
- Ensures the efficient flow of patients through all administrative aspects of the services provided to patients in assigned area.
- Responsible for monitoring and maintaining office supplies to ensure all administrative functions of the clinic can be successfully executed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Salary Range: %2417.00 - %2427.00
LOCATED IN HUNTSVILLE, ALABAMA.
Bachelor's degree in a related field and two (2) years of related experience required. Work experience may substitute for education requirement.
Preferred:
- Hard Skills: Previous administrative experience in a healthcare environment, preferably an outpatient clinic, with patients ranging in age from newborn to geriatrics. Experience performing and supervising receptionist duties in a healthcare setting including but not limited to patient scheduling, processing of patient referrals, checking patients in and out, answering phones in a timely manner, and routing tasks to appropriate clinical staff; Familiar with Phreesia patient intake software; Familiarity with UAB policies and procedures.
