Job Description
KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
- Extensive experience working with Business Intelligence data visualization tools, optimally with specialization on Tableau versions 9 & 10.x
- Demonstrated experience with Tableau Server Infrastructure, specifically publishing and back end administration.
- Strong knowledge of best practices for dashboards, BI reporting and visualization.
- Experience with data warehousing concepts and data modeling best practices.
- Experience with requirements gathering – working with customers to determine analytical needs, and carrying those needs through the development of data-driven tools to facilitate the requirements.
- Expertise in the research, development, and support of data visualization techniques.
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science or Business Information Systems with 3-5 years' experience in configuring, designing and building complex visualizations and dashboards using Tableau.
- Subject matter expert of one or more Business Intelligence applications.
- Minimum 3 years of experience with Tableau reports development.
- Strong Knowledge (5+ years of SQL)
- Proficient understanding of relational database concepts, impact of various designs on performance.
- Strong knowledge of large database optimization practices (indexing, partitioning, etc.) in Hadoop environments.
