About the Job
Position Duties
" Greets all visitors in a positive, pleasant and professional manner and assists them by determining how to provide the highest level of service to meet their needs.
" Assists visitors in directing their request to the appropriate parties.
" Answers and screens telephone calls; takes detailed messages and/or refers to appropriate party; uses independent judgment and knowledge of department and university to determine how to best respond to, and resolve, all inquiries.
" Responds and/or directs questions for other areas of Human Resources such as Benefits, Employee and Labor Relations, Compensation and Talent Development as s/he is able and/or refers to the appropriate HR area as necessary.
" Receives new hire paperwork for staff, faculty and student employees; reviews documents for completeness and accuracy including I-9 verification and all visa/immigration documentation.
" Tracks new hire paperwork through the Onboarding module of UKG to ensure that paperwork is received and processed in a timely manner.
" Manages the student employment process for all campuses, including advising hiring managers on policies and procedures, assisting with posting student positions, responding to inquiries from student applicants, approving hiring proposals and sending offer letters.
" Provides primary oversight, training and supervision for Talent Acquisition's student employees.
" Creates and manages student schedules to ensure full coverage of the front desk area, and delegates and reviews project work.
" Supports the Associate Director, Talent Acquisition and Talent Acquisition Manager in all recruitment activities for all position types on all campuses by responding to applicant inquiries
