This Talent Acquisition Specialist will help optimize current practices, track and impact key TA metrics and ensure adoption of new recruiting tools with our managers and HR partners. This role will be based as a hybrid in Kansas City, KS with occasional travel (15%) to other business locations and partner business sites.
Apex Midwest, is one of the Regions under the Apex Service Partners umbrella. Apex Service Partners has built the leading national platform in the trades industry to provide world-class residential service. The Midwest Region, made up of several businesses across 8 states.
This is the “key, core” talent acquisition role and tightly aligns to one, possibly more Market Areas. The Specialist will continuously execute strategies and tactics to autonomously drive attraction, sourcing, interviewing, and hiring of a world class workforce in the skilled trades, specifically technicians and management in Kansas and Iowa. This professional will also work with trade leaders to develop their ability to select/retain great people. Finally, the recruiting specialist will work with local operators to increase brand awareness as an “Employer of Choice” in the market through marketing and community involvement, opening new talent pools.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to the Regional Talent Acquisition Manager, and working very closely with our regional senior leaders, the TA Specialist will impact:
(70%) Sourcing: Develop and lead all sourcing for Technician hires
- Establish and upgrade recruiting and hiring practices
- Build a system capable of hiring hundreds annually
(10%) Metrics: Track and competitively impact people and business numbers
- Assist in developing forecasts for all roles
- Analyze and impact monthly and annual reporting by market and trade
- Establish diversity recruiting program focused on outcomes
- Assist in building culture of performance accountability
(15%) Technology: Help implement scalable Talent Technology
- Ensure adoption and regular use of our ATS and other recruiting tools (e.g. CRM)
- Bi-monthly refresh of job ads across all mediums: SEO; continual testing of job ads
- Apply technology to automate and bring efficiencies to the end-to-end recruiting process
(5%) Brand Development: Contribute toward being an "Employer of Choice" working on various people projects
- Assist with talent collateral creation, branding, social postings and/or content
- Contribute feedback on employer brand as a system and in market specifics
Candidate Requirements:
A successful candidate will have the following criteria & competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
- 2-4 years of prior high-volume recruiting experience
- Highly motivated by personal performance targets, intensely driven to exceed goals
- Capable of analyzing workflow metrics and presenting actionable recommendations
- Strong ability to communicate and differentiate our employers from others; respects the trades
- Intensely hands on & scrappy, but able to see the strategic vision of quintupling our business and being best in the industry
- Excellent & disciplined, time management and organizational skills capable to managing quickly shifting priorities
Compensation
A competitive base salary ranging from $50K-$60K including monthly performance-based bonus will be available to the selected candidate.
