The Position: The Corporate Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for leveraging an understanding of the assigned businesses’ workforce planning needs to support talent acquisition strategies to attract and hire diverse, best-in-class talent for the organization. The Corporate Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible to perform recruitment activities including but not limited to recruitment, screening, hiring, on-boarding, training, and additional activities that support Great Dane candidates.
Responsibilities:WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Develops and administers staffing/employment/recruiting programs.
- Works with hiring managers to document requirements of job openings.
- Determines appropriate recruiting sources for advertising and posting positions.
- Promotes the company image to candidates and external service providers.
- Network and build long-lasting client relationships.
- Know your area of expertise (specialized industry or job function).
- Pre-screens resumes, documents candidate evaluation and interview process.
- Supports talent strategy by presenting diverse interview slates; evaluates profiles of potential candidates and assesses candidates’ knowledge, skills, and aptitudes.
- Manages candidate experience, hiring manager satisfaction, and other talent acquisition metrics.
- Uses technology for applicant tracking, candidate management, and reporting.
- Devise and carry out a targeted recruitment strategy.
- Works with agencies, recruiting contractors and/or internet website representatives in the course of recruiting and promoting positions. May provide performance feedback on all recruiting agencies/sources.
- Develop, support and maintain college recruiting and career development programs.
- Collect, maintain and analyze data supporting recruitment and related activities.
- Assist and perform processes that encourage career development of people and retention of a safe, diverse, competent and effective workforce.
- Provides input on best sourcing channels and for functional talent; serves as a primary source of staffing and recruitment strategy advice, consultation, and education.
- Implements creative and targeted search/marketing strategies that generates pipelines of qualified active and passive candidates, including managing internet job postings for all online recruiting sites.
- Other duties as assigned.
Your skills and abilities (required qualifications)
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, or relevant field preferred. Associate degree or relevant work experience would be considered.
- Experience: 2+ years recruiting both exempt and non-exempt workforce. 5+ years’ experience preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems , recruiting software and candidate databases.
- Proficiency in MS Suite Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
- Strong knowledge of candidate sourcing and selection methods.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional results orientation with a high degree of personal initiative, and a very hands-on, flexible, and customer-centric attitude.
- Knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity Laws as relevant for recruitment processes.
- Ability to collect and analyze data.
- Detail-oriented.
- Travel: Some travel will be required.
