About the KIPP Colorado Talent Associate Role: The Talent Associate is responsible for coordinating and managing some of the most critical functions of the Talent Acquisition (Recruitment) and Human Resources Team. This includes providing administrative support to candidates, Principals, and Hiring Managers for hiring processes in addition to tracking employee compliance with various requirements and supporting meeting logistics and materials for Talent Team and CPO. This is a high-visibility role that will have direct access to the many KIPP Colorado leadership teams and will provide essential support to the inner workings of the organization, as it relates to all hiring, recruitment, and human resources workflows.
Successful applicants must be extremely detail-oriented with impeccable follow-through, be a skilled planner and self-starter, and be excited to support our mission of creating joyful and academically excellent schools to prepare our students for a choice-filled life.
The Talent Associate will report to the Chief People Officer and will work alongside the Senior Director of Human Resources and Senior Director of Recruitment, very closely. This role requires excellent communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, a commitment to accuracy, ability to multitask, comfort with ambiguity, and being able to work and build relationships cross-functionally.

Role Responsibilities and More About How You’ll Spend Your Time in this Role
Supporting the Recruitment and Human Resources Team:
- Serve as the key support for the Talent Team related to calendaring, scheduling, logistics, and delegated communication management (emailing, Zoom meetings, and other coordination, as needed) mainly with candidates and hiring managers - but may include other support in this area.
- Manage candidates scheduling for all open roles and candidates for the entire KIPP Colorado region.
- Manage details for complex meetings, schedules, and interviews while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality; ensure that meeting details are confirmed (attendance, time/duration, location, agendas, materials) and proactively plan for travel time and other logistical considerations
- Create and distribute draft agendas, provide advance materials, and execute follow-up for meetings and events as requested by the Talent Team leadership and Hiring Managers
- Respond to requests for personnel data from individuals, schools, KIPP CO staff, and other external stakeholders on behalf of the CPO, as appropriate
- Track deadlines and/or update organizational systems to best support productivity and effectiveness
- Track staff data, staff information and staff compliance information with accuracy
- Coordinate staff learning, growth, and development opportunities and sessions
- Manage and organize staff personnel files and HRIS files
- Prepare printed materials for learning sessions, interviews, benefits enrollments, and Talent Team office hours on campuses, at recruitment events, and in the community
Maintaining a Professional Office:
- Receive all telephone calls for the Recruitment and HR Team and route them to the appropriate team member
- Greet candidates entering the KIPP Colorado schools or offices and steward them throughout their interview day or campus tour
- Maintain a thorough working knowledge of KIPP Colorado in order to provide informed responses to inquiries from applicants and candidates
- Receive, sort, and distribute email from multiple Talent Team inboxes
- Oversee talent team Google drive organization and upkeep as well as other document organization responsibilities as requested by the Talent Team
- Assist with clerical tasks, including typing, filing, proofreading, and data entry, as requested
Additional Responsibilities:
- Keep CPO well-informed of activities, results of efforts, and potential problems from across the Talent Team
- Maintain confidentiality of prospects, candidates, and staff member information
- Conduct oneself appropriately and professionally
- As needed, assist with duties and tasks outside of regular job responsibilities

- Assist with both student and staff recruitment.

- Bachelor’s degree (preferred)

Compensation and Benefits:
Staff retention and satisfaction is imperative for KIPP Colorado. We seek to provide competitive compensation and benefits including the following:
- Competitive Market Salary: Starting salary for this role begins at $51,000
