Responsibilities & Qualifications:Position Overview
The Novelis North America Human Resources team is hiring! Located in Atlanta, GA, the Novelis NNA HR team is seeking a Talent Management Partner. This role supports the NNA Talent Management function in meeting the enabling functions’ current and future talent needs through deploying development activities that build capabilities in the business. The Functional Talent Partner will be responsible for enabling talent pipelines across US & CA functions, and supporting functional leaders and HRBPs to identify talent needs and deliver solutions that support individual growth and functional pipeline development.
Responsibilities
- Deploy and cascade annual US & CA Enabling Functions talent review processes; using these discussions as the platform for identifying and completing talent identification & succession planning for critical roles
- Prepare insightful analysis on talent pipeline health across functions and levels, and use analysis to guide future development decisions and individual development planning support
- Align with partners on high potential talent individual development plans (IDPs) to ensure execution of key talent decisions
- Understanding the collective needs of the function, supports the business leaders and HRBPs in shaping the talent strategy
- Conducts a needs analysis to understand the needs of the business and complete a shift in thinking or abilities to support the direction and focus of the function
- Coordinates with functional partners to identify and develop talent pipelines and build organizational capability.
- Co-create & facilitate execution of solutions which enable retention, attraction and engagement of the functional organization.
- Example - IT career framework, metal buyer 'TCP', Internship program as a pipeline strategy
- Accountable for managing and facilitating ABG, Novelis & Regional talent processes for the functions partnering with the HRBP. Example - talent reviews, mentoring, nominations for learning programs etc.
- Facilitates other recommendations for programs based on knowledge of the business and talent – i.e., 360s, awards and recognition programs, etc.
- Recommends functional employees for global talent management processes where they will aid in the employee’s development and growth; providing education on program; support for participants and follow up as needed
- Support the HRBP in identifying critical leadership & functional talent and facilitating the development of the succession and career planning agenda
- Support individual development actions and facilitate development activities for talents and career path alignment and other programs to support pipeline development.
- Works with business to determine employee development needs, aligning with existing development programs and learning offerings if available.
- Coordinates regional and functional leadership development efforts tied to the capability needs of the workforce.
- Recommends existing learning and development offerings that meet the business’ needs or recommends interventions that are scalable for all employees within the identified population.
- Provide management support and training for career / development conversations.
- Coordinates with Workforce Development team and workforce development efforts to align needs with development programs and offerings. Supports new apprenticeship programs and other offerings as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Psychology or Human Resources.
- 5-8 yrs experience in implementing Talent Management activities (employee development, individual development plans, competency assessments, coaching, career path development)
- Approximately 10% travel.

- Working Style: Consultative, Fast, Succinct.
- Must be flexible and able to operate in a fast-paced environment, with ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work
- Proficiency at software applications, including Microsoft Office, and quick learning of new technology
