About the Job
We are pleased to announce the opening for a Targets Technical Engineer, who will join our Engineering Services Division in Huntsville, AL and become part of our rapidly growing technology company operating in missile defense, cybersecurity, test range modernization, biotechnology, and space control marketspaces. In this role you will support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Targets and Countermeasures (TC) program office with development of ballistic missile target vehicles.
Heres what youll be doing:
- Support the TC System Engineering team in all aspects of target design, analysis, and test; including requirements development and assessment, modeling and simulation, test analysis and reporting
- Collaborate with a dynamic team of experts in multiple technical areas to develop analysis and engineering tools
- Engage in database requirements definition, schema development, interface development, testing, data management, and documentation
- Utilize knowledge, skills and experience with missile characteristics (physical, kinematics, signatures) and engineering to support engineering activities and data product development
Heres what youll need:
You must have Bachelors Degree in a STEM field with 3+ years of experience working on missile defense-related or other DoD program / project. You must possess at least an active Secret clearance. Lacking either of these disqualifies you from this job.
Other qualifications we hope you bring to the table:
- Proficiency with MATLAB, Python, Java, C#, and other programming languages
- Experience with Microsoft SQL server and/or other database tools
- Experience with database development and administration
- Familiarity with version control tools (Git, SVN)
- Experience in any or all of the following disciplines: Design, CAD, Trajectory, Radar Cross Section (RCS), Signatures, Optical Signatures
- Experience with anechoic chamber RF testing
- Ability to self-manage and initiate within team structure
- Ability to decompose complex problems to actionable elements
- Ability presenting complex information and concepts to Leaders at various levels
- Proficient with Microsoft Office® applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Working knowledge of MDA Systems Engineering processes and procedures
- Working knowledge of MDA organizational structure
- Working knowledge of Missile Defense System (MDS) architecture and concepts
