Tax Accounting Lead (remote) - Bullpen Talent LLC

Our client is a growing tax accounting firm looking for an experienced Tax Accountant Lead to join their team. Their office is based in Columbia City, Indiana and it is ideal if this person can be located within 3-4 hour drive so they can occasionally join a client meeting in person. Please ensure you are within driving distance as this is a requirement. 

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of more complex returns
• Overview, review, scheduling work of staff preparers
• Provide review notes, assistance and corrections to staff (by phone or chat)
• Evaluate training needs for staff
• Communicating missing information to client manager
• Recommend process improvement
• Manage status updates of returns
• Research technical tax issues and provide options to client managers
• Research and respond to notices received
• Lead specific compliance projects

Requirements:

• 5 years in public accounting
• Team leadership experience
• Prior experience in reviewing tax returns
• EA minimum, CPA Preferred
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
