Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Tax Accounting Manager at the Company in Palmetto, GA. This is not a remote position. The Tax Accounting Manager will be responsible for the following job duties.
Work with clients to accurately prepare tax returns for individuals, small businesses, and nonprofit organizations from initial meeting through delivery and electronic filing of returns.
Prepare financial statements, journal entries, analyze financial data, manage fixed assets, and review the accounting work and tax returns prepared by other accountants.
Handle ongoing consultation and planning with clients both in person and virtually
Understand and apply tax reduction strategies.
Research various tax matters.
Collect and review financial and operational data for small businesses and be prepared to make recommendations for improvement.
Monitor guidance issued by the Internal Revenue Service/Department of the Treasury and new legislation relevant to tax accounting
Nurture current client relationships as well as help us grow our clientele base.
Qualifications
At least 5 years of income tax preparation experience
Experience preparing 1040, 1120, 1120S, 990, 706, 1041 and 1065 tax returns
Experience working with high net worth / high income clients preferred
Analytical Skills and Finance expertise with strong organizational and time-management skills
Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
IRS Enrolled Agent (EA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license preferred
Experience working in UltraTax CS preferred
Quickbooks experience required
