Our client has both US and international locations and continues growing and expanding its footprint
Currently, they are looking to add a Tax Analyst to their team.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$65k – $90k
Position Overview:
The Tax Analyst will play a crucial role in ensuring the corporation’s compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
This position requires a proactive individual with a strong understanding of tax laws and principles
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and reviewing income tax returns, conducting tax research, and assisting in tax planning and strategy initiatives.
Responsibilities of the Tax Analyst:
Prepare and review federal, state, and local income tax returns for the corporation.
Ensure timely filing and payment of all tax obligations.
Research various tax issues and stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations that may impact the corporation.
Assist in developing tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and optimize tax positions.
Collaborate with other departments to implement tax-saving opportunities.
Assist in responding to tax notices and audits.
Gather necessary documentation and liaise with tax authorities as required.
Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax provisions and disclosures in accordance with GAAP.
Reconcile tax accounts and provide accurate tax-related financial information.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the tax compliance and reporting functions.
Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by the Tax Manager or Director of Finance.
Qualifications for the Tax Analyst:
Minimum of 2 – 4 years of experience in income tax compliance and reporting, preferably within a corporate environment or public accounting firm.
Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
Proficient in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA or advanced degree in taxation is preferred.
