Job Description:
Parallel Advisors is looking for a results-driven, experienced Tax Associate. You will be joining a fast-growing Registered Investment Advisory firm with a culture of entrepreneurship, education, and collaboration. The Tax Administrator will work closely with our Tax Consultants, clients, and financial advisors, to deliver high-touch service to our clients.
The Tax Associate will report to the Head of Tax and will work to aid our organization in maintaining a high level of service to our clients in the areas of tax organization management, team administrative work, tax document collection and sorting, verification of tax data scanned and imported into software, and client invoicing for services. You may also be asked to work with other cross-functional teams on other duties, such as marketing tasks, which support our service model and the overall mission of the Firm.
This role can be based in either our Dallas or Scottsdale hub. Parallel currently operates on a hybrid (in-office 3x/week) schedule.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Understand and work with tax software including SurePrep, Lacerte, and Canopy
- Coordinate the final stages of tax engagements with clients, including printing returns, gathering client signatures, and administering e-file process
- Field inquiries and document requests from clients and financial advisors
- Send organizers, gather and sort client documents, ingest into SurePrep software and verify that data is imported accurately into Lacerte
- Create and send client invoices using Canopy software
- Act as a liaison between in-house tax professionals and other Parallel stakeholders
- Assist the Head of Tax and/or the Tax Manager with ad hoc requests and other projects that may arise
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with key tax software, particularly Sureprep and Lacerte.
- Minimum two years experience within a professional tax practice such as a CPA firm or tax department within an RIA firm.
- College degree preferred.
- Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
- Capability to manage multiple demands and competing priorities.
- Savvy with technology, especially as it pertains to data entry and systems maintenance.
- CRM experience (Salesforce preferred) a plus.
