We seek a dynamic and experienced Permanent Tax Associate to join our vibrant team in the finance industry. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilize and expand your tax preparation and accounting skills in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax accounting, with exceptional knowledge and experience in preparing 1040 individual returns and 1065 partnerships and handling small corporations, individuals, partnerships, estates, and trusts.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Tax Associate, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
1. Preparation and review of federal and state income taxes for individuals, partnerships, estates, trusts, and small corporations.
2. Research and analyze complex tax issues, interpret tax regulations, and develop tax planning strategies.
3. Utilize CCH software for tax preparation, planning, and research.
4. Ensure accurate, timely filing of consolidated federal, state, and local income tax returns and other business-related filings.
5. Identify tax savings opportunities for clients and suggest appropriate strategies to minimize tax liability.
6. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current tax practices and changes in tax law.
7. Assist in federal and state audits.
8. Develop strong client relationships through ongoing communication and exceptional service.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. CPA certification is highly desirable.
3. At least five years of experience as a Senior Tax Accountant or a similar role in the finance industry.
4. Extensive experience in preparing 1040 individual returns and 1065 partnerships.
5. Proficiency in CCH or similar tax software.
6. Strong knowledge of federal and state tax codes, regulations, and procedures.
7. Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
8. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to explain complex tax information clearly and concisely.
9. Strong commitment to professional and client service excellence.
