We are partnering with a publicly traded company looking for a Tax Associate to join their dynamic tax team. This role is essential in supporting the preparation and review of federal, state, and international tax filings, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and assisting in various tax planning initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a passion for tax, and a commitment to delivering exceptional results.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and review of federal, state, and international tax returns for the company.
- Engage in daily operations of the Corporate Tax department, including compliance, tax provisions, and planning.
- Conduct research on various tax issues, providing insights and recommendations to ensure compliance and optimize tax positions.
- Prepare and maintain supporting documentation and workpapers for tax filings and audits.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external advisors to gather necessary information for tax reporting.
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their implications for the company’s tax strategy.
- Support the tax audit process by preparing responses and coordinating with tax authorities.
- Contribute to tax planning initiatives aimed at minimizing tax liabilities and enhancing efficiency.
- Maintain organized records of all tax-related documentation and filings as well as contribute to the development of technical tax documentation to support tax position.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA or eligibility to sit for CPA preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in tax preparation or a related field.
- Strong understanding of federal, state, and international tax regulations.
- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel on occasion.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.

The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
