JOB TITLE: Tax Associate/Specialist

SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE

Our client, an outstanding and reputable Private Accounting Firm, is seeking a Tax Associate/Specialist  . This candidate will be primarily responsible for submitting tax forms on behalf of clients

This candidate will prepare income tax returns, including individuals, corporations and pa for a variety of clients. Associates regularly collaborate with partners and managers to provide outstanding client service. This unique opportunity to client client relationships on all aspects of public account which will allow this candidate  to learn and have growth opportunities at the firm.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Proficiently prepare and review tax returns for clients
• Formulate and deliver innovative tax planning, strategies and client service 
• Identify and capitalize on business opportunities with current client base and network to attract new clients to the firm
• Maintain active communication with clients to develop long standing business relationships, manage expectations, safeguard client satisfaction, and ensure deadlines are met
• Work in a variety of industries including: Real Estate, Construction, Hospitality, Manufacturing, Distribution, Not-For- Profit and Financial Services 
• Advance your expertise in tax matters through continued education and research
• Complete research and special projects as needed

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting 
• 2-3 years or more of experience in tax preparation
• Experience with individual, corporate, and partnerships tax return preparations
• Excellent MS Excel knowledge for spreadsheets
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently and under pressure
• Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines
