Position Summary:
We are seeking a Tax Attorney with a robust background in tax law and a strong commitment to client service. This role involves advising clients on federal, state, and local tax matters, representing clients in tax controversy and litigation, and developing tax strategies. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in handling complex tax issues, particularly in a law firm environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advise and represent clients in federal, state, and local tax controversies, including audits, appeals, and litigation
• Develop and implement tax planning strategies for a diverse client portfolio, which may include corporations, partnerships, and high-net-worth individuals
• Prepare and review legal documents, such as memoranda, briefs, and legal opinions, relating to tax issues
• Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to effectively manage and resolve client matters
• Conduct thorough research on various tax-related matters and stay up-to-date on current tax legislation and regulations
• Communicate complex tax issues to clients in an understandable manner and assist them with making informed decisions
• Assist with various administrative tasks, as needed, to support client matters

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and admission to the Bar in [State]
• Minimum of [number] years of experience in tax law, with a focus on tax controversy and litigation
• LL.M. in Taxation is preferred but not required
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple client matters with competing deadlines effectively
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

Preferred Skills:

• Prior experience working with high-net-worth individuals, businesses, and partnerships on tax matters
• Proficiency with tax research tools (e.g., Bloomberg Tax, Checkpoint, or similar)
• Experience with other related practice areas, such as corporate or estate planning, is a plus
