Responsibilities:
- Provide expert tax consulting services to clients in the energy industry, with a focus on Green Energy.
- Interpret and apply tax regulations and incentives such as the Investment Tax Credit (ITC) and the Production Tax Credit (PTC).
- Conduct comprehensive tax research and analysis to ensure clients are fully utilizing available tax incentives and credits.
- Prepare and review complex tax returns and reports for clients in the energy industry.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their tax needs are met and exceeded.
- Keep abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations that could impact clients and provide proactive advice and solutions.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure a consistent and integrated approach to client service.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in tax consulting, with a specific focus on the energy industry.
- In-depth knowledge of tax regulations and incentives in the energy sector, particularly the Investment Tax Credit (ITC) and the Production Tax Credit (PTC).
- Proven experience in Green Energy consulting.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- A commitment to continuous learning and development in tax consulting and the energy industry.
