Tax Director - Gables Search Group

Join our esteemed regional CPA firm as we seek a Tax Director to enhance our growing team.  

This role offers flexibility, with the option to work in-office, or hybrid. Prefer local candidates in the San Jose area.

You will:

• Conduct technical tax review and approval of all tax returns and governmental tax examinations of any complexity.
• Must have strong SEC Tax Provision experience 
• Serve as a subject matter expert in discipline or industry.
• Manage all tasks related to client service, ensuring assignments are completed within budgeted time.
• Assume full responsibility for larger tax returns, delegating tasks to tax preparers as necessary.
• Actively participate in client meetings and tax planning efforts to support the A&A Department with larger clients.
• Manage client service responsibilities for clients directly handled by the Tax Manager or delegated from the Partner.
