Position Overview:

As a Tax Director / Tax Principal at Hammerman, Graf, Hughes & Co., Inc., you will be a key member of our leadership team, responsible for setting the strategic direction of the firm, managing high-level client relationships, and leading our talented professionals. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of the firm, with significant influence over business decisions and growth strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and execution of the firm's strategic vision, driving growth, innovation, and operational excellence.
• Manage and nurture relationships with high-net-worth clients, businesses, and other entities, providing top-tier tax advisory and consulting services.
• Oversee the firm's tax department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, compliant, and timely tax services.
• Collaborate with other partners and senior leaders to innovate and implement firm-wide initiatives that enhance client service and firm efficiency.
• Act as a thought leader, staying at the forefront of tax law changes, industry trends, and best practices to advise clients and guide the firm.
• Mentor and develop the next generation of leaders within the firm, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and professional growth.
• Play an active role in business development, identifying and pursuing new opportunities to expand the firm's client base and service offerings.
• Ensure the financial health of the firm, including managing budgets, forecasts, and profitability metrics.

Qualifications:

• CPA certification with an active license.
• 15+ years of progressive experience in public accounting, with substantial expertise in tax advisory, client relations, and firm management.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; a Master's degree in Taxation or a related field is highly preferred.
• Proven leadership experience, with a track record of managing and growing a successful tax practice.
• Exceptional client management skills, with the ability to develop long-term relationships and deliver high-impact solutions.
• Strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the accounting industry and the challenges and opportunities facing CPA firms.
• Strong business acumen, with experience in managing financial performance, business development, and operational efficiency.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead, inspire, and influence at all levels of the organization.
