We are seeking a dynamic and highly-motivated Permanent Tax Director to join our growing Public Accounting team. This is a highly strategic role that will have a significant impact on our business operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing our company's tax planning, international tax, tax advisory, corporate tax, business tax planning, and tax returns. This role also involves business development, training, and supervisory duties. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned tax professional with a strong business acumen, looking to make a significant contribution in a vibrant and fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and manage tax planning, international tax, corporate tax, business tax planning, and tax returns to ensure compliance with local, state, federal, and international tax laws and regulations.
2. Provide strategic tax advisory services to clients
3. Lead business development initiatives, identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to drive growth and profitability.
4. Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the tax knowledge and skills of the team, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
5. Supervise a team of tax professionals, providing guidance, feedback, and support to ensure high performance and engagement.
6. Represent the company in any tax disputes or audits, leveraging your expertise to ensure favorable outcomes.
7. Stay updated on the latest tax laws and regulations, advising the company on any changes that could impact the business.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or higher is preferred.
2. Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license. AICPA member in good standing.
3. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a tax role, with at least 2 years of experience representing clients in tax disputes or audits.
4. Proven experience in tax planning, international tax, tax advisory, corporate tax, business tax planning, and tax returns.
5. Solid experience in business development, with a track record of identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
6. Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with a proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
7. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts in a clear and concise manner.
8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
9. Up-to-date knowledge of local, state, federal, and international tax laws and regulations.
10. High level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to ethical business practices.
