We are seeking a Tax Manager to join our growing Tax team. Reporting to our Tax Director, this is a role based onsite out of our NYC office. This is a highly impactful and multi-faceted role where you will have the opportunity to engage across several different investment strategies in our global enterprise. The tax team is responsible for managing and overseeing tax structuring, planning, strategy, and compliance globally. We work cross functionally and jurisdictionally to ensure that each of our investment strategies is optimized from a tax perspective.

- US inbound investment firm - ownership is foreign and mostly investing into US but they have some returns in other areas

Job Description:
We are seeking a Tax Manager to join our growing Tax team. Reporting to our Tax Director, this is a role based onsite out of our NYC office. This is a highly impactful and multi-faceted role where you will have the opportunity to engage across several different investment strategies in our global enterprise. The tax team is responsible for managing and overseeing tax structuring, planning, strategy, and compliance globally. We work cross functionally and jurisdictionally to ensure that each of our investment strategies is optimized from a tax perspective.
Responsibilities :
- Manage the overall tax compliance function for all domestic and foreign tax filings comprising the global enterprise, including income and non-income taxes.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with US and international tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements across various jurisdictions .
- Conduct research of non-US and US federal, state, local and international tax matters which support ongoing tax projects and/or filing positions at times research may include VAT , sales and use, property tax matters.
- Support the resolution of tax notices and audits and assist in any tax controversy matters.
- Manage annual transfer pricing processes and documentation requirements.
- Support tax planning and strategy initiatives impacting the different investment strategies across the enterprise.
Requirements :
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting (or a closely related field) is required. CPA certification or Master's degree in Taxation preferred.
- A minimum of 5-7 years of tax experience, preferably in a public accounting firm with a focus on inbound multi-national companies or experience in a financial services environment.
- Experience working with multi-national enterprises with cross-border transactions.
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a broader team.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, ensuring the timely completion of initiatives and deliverables despite competing priorities.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
