We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Tax Manager to join our fun, innovative, and established CPA firm. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing the tax planning, compliance, and strategy for clients within the construction industry. Responsibilities:
The Permanent Tax Manager will be responsible for the following:
1. Overseeing all tax returns for construction clients
2. Coordinating and managing the preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax returns.
3. Developing and implementing tax strategies to minimize tax liability and maximize cash flow.
4. Providing expert guidance on tax laws and regulations, including the impact of changes in tax laws on the company's operations.
5. Managing tax audits and inquiries, including negotiating with tax authorities.
6. Collaborating with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and budgeting.
7. Advising on tax implications of business decisions and transactions, including mergers and acquisitions.
8. Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and regulatory authorities.
9. Keeping abreast of industry trends and developments in tax law and accounting practices.
Qualifications:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification is required
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in tax management, with a focus on construction tax.
3. In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations, particularly as they apply to the construction industry.
4. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex tax information and make informed decisions.
5. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex tax concepts clearly and effectively.
7. High level of integrity and professionalism, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
8. Proficiency in tax software and other relevant computer applications.
9. Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and work under pressure.
10. Strong commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
