Tax Manager, CPA
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Tax Manager to join our dynamic team. As a Tax Manager, you will oversee tax compliance and planning functions for our organization. Collaborating closely with our accounting and finance teams, you will ensure the efficient and effective handling of all tax-related matters. Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and maximize benefits.
- Manage the preparation and filing of all tax returns, including federal, state, and local taxes.
- Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, staying updated with changes.
- Review financial statements and tax returns, identifying potential tax issues and savings opportunities.
- Manage relationships with external tax advisors and auditors, overseeing tax provisions and disclosures.
- Provide guidance and support to accounting and finance teams on tax matters.
- Participate in special projects and initiatives such as mergers and acquisitions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA certification required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in public accounting or tax management.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
- Experience with tax software and ERP systems preferred.
